Today we’re celebrating five words from Mom’s June story. Truth be told, the story isn’t finished yet, but we grabbed five words anyway. We’re sure it’ll be finished in six more days… Wait. What? SIX MORE DAYS??!!?? Blerg.
16. Turkeys – My turkey toy is one of my favorite shaking toys. When I get it going just right, the turkey kicks me in the head over and over. *sigh* Good times…
72. Blankets – I love blankets. Whether I am on them, in them, under them, or near them, they make me happy.
Mom is happy when she is on the ball, in the zone, under a deadline, or near the surprise ending. She’s all of those things right about now.
4. Music – Mom taught me to dance so I could make people laugh when we go to work at the VA and the library. I don’t even need music! Just chicken…

88. Storybooks – Writing storybooks is Mom’s favorite hobby. She always wishes she can get another book or eBook published. But no matter what happens, she writes them anyway. She can’t help it. When I do therapy work at the library, kids read storybooks to me.
Even if the books are about cats, I listen politely to them anyway.
649. Selfie – Last week was National Selfie Day. Taking a selfie is tough for me because… well… paws. Thank goodness Mom helps me so I can be like the cool kids.

Thanks, R. I shiver a lot and feel chilly a lot, so blankets became my friends early on when Mom adopted me from the rescue. Sweaters, too! I like to be cozy. I also like to dance for chicken. At our therapy work, everybody makes a big fuss about my dancing. Being fussed over is always fun. I’m sure you know what I mean, R….

I can only imagine C. I have long hair, so I don’t get cold. You are so cute with your dresses and sweaters. I don’t have to wear anything like that because it’s so hot here.
I would also make a fuss about your dancing because you are quite the ballerina. So beautiful. Being fussed about is fun for sure. 😀
Cupcake you always take the bestest photos…..and that last one of you looking at the camera – well – it’s BEYOND adorable dear friend. I bet the kids really love reading to you. You’re such a good pal to all of them. We sure hope your Mom’s story is a big hit and gets published – then BOTH of you can do a “happy dance” together!

Blankets to snuggle under or on are very nice. Turkey toys that play with you are super fun. A mom who helps you take selfies so you can be a cool kid (although I gotta tell you we think you are a very cool kid just by being you.) And last but not least letting kids read to you, even the kitty books, is the best thing ever! ~ nose nudges Belle Pup for the pups and kitties

Fun to watch you play with blankets. Archie liked to be on top of them, but didn’t play with them. By the way, we moved and had to give Archie to a friend he adores. So hard to do. But, my friend send me pictures of him following her father around the yard and house, like best buddies. Makes it easier. Would love to see him, but don’t want to confuse him. He is adjusting so well.
We have no doubt that you did the best thing for my buddy, Archie, P. It’s great that you can see him living in peace and happiness in his new home. And that he has so many people to love him close up and from a distance. Mom and I wish you good luck and much happiness in YOUR new home. Moving is fun and exciting – for doggies and for humans!

I love my blanket! I don’t understand why my humans insist on throwing it in the washing machine every once in a while, especially when it starts to smell really great!
My ghostwriter loves to write stories too, and tell them. (I hear she tells all kinds of stories about me when she’s at work.) She likes to listen to music too, but I’m not about to learn how to dance.
Lulu: “Hey, Cupcake, we like lots of the same things! Maybe we’re long-lost relatives!”
