It’s the time of year when everyhuman thinks about resolutions. They want to climb higher, do better, get healthier, and be happier. They swear they’re going to eat right, get organized, be creative, and break all their bad habits.
I’m here to say, resolutions can be fun. I resolve to:
Knock over the garbage pail.
Steal food from the table.
Nip the mailman.
Pull my head out of my leash.
Get into the cabinet where my food is.
Push through the baby gate.
Sleep on top of the bedspread when Mom isn’t home.
Eat a shoe.
Drink from the toilet.
And bite my winter coat AND BOOTS.
Mom’s resolutions are a little more modest. She will:
Read 200 picture books again (and drink 200 chai lattes).
Submit 10 stories to publishers, agents, RYS, or her online writing group.
Write 10 brand new stories.
I got this…
And meditate 4 times a week (she’ll need it).

We think you both have some great resolutions going, Cupcake! From experience, Chili can assure you that eating a shoe is well worth it; try to pick one of your mother’s favorites (it will surely taste better!). Happy New Year to you both!

I only made one so far. Mom knows that one. But I need to get on this! Tomorrow is my last day to do or not do whatever it is I’m resolving to! Queen of procrastination!!

Cupcake, I wish all of your and your mom’s new year’s resolutions come true in 2016. Although, as with eating a shoe, I’m not quite sure. I love your resolutions! I resolve to be inspired by your resolutions and do some fun ones of my own.
Top of my list –
Jump higher than my humans’ tallest head
Recycle every stick in my yard with my teeth
Destroy all tennis balls in my sight
De squeak and de stuff all fluffies in my sight
I’ll have to think on some more fun resolutions to try but I’ll get working on these right away.
