A couple of days ago it snowed. Snow! Right after the hurricane! There was wind that made my ears stick out like wings,
cold that went right through my pink parka,
and about four inches of the white stuff that made my feet freeze.
Guess what else is frozen. Mom’s brain. It’s been two days since she wrote an idea in her PiBoIdMo list. The numbers are still there, but there’s nothing next to the newest ones.
After the snow, I got a surprise. It was a package in the mail from my friend, Rumpy.
He had a contest-giveaway, and I won! I won some Frosty Paws dog ice creams, and the Frosty Paws stuffed animal! I love ice cream! And I LOVE stuffed animals! Thanks, Rumpy! What a wonderful surprise.
Maybe Mom will get a surprise inside her head – some surprise ideas so she can catch up in her PiBo challenge. She needs 30 ideas by the end of the month. Come on, ideas!

Congratulations on winning the Frosty Paws dog ice creams! 🙂 Keep warm Cupcake. It has also turned cold here – damp and miserable 😦 Where has the sunshine gone?
I thought YOU had all the sunshine, B! Oh wait! It’s come back here now. I’ll send some back when I’m finished with it.
Love and licks,
C
What wonderful gifts you won. You lucky little thing you. Hope it gets a bit warmer soon. You guys need a break right now.
Thanks, Long Life! The snow is gone, the fog is gone, and things are looking up around here. Yay!
Love and licks,
C
It was an appropriate prezzie Cupcake..Frosty..BOL youz need some little pink snow booties 🙂 Hope Mommy’s brain, lights up real soon 🙂 Have a great day xxxx000xxx
Mollie and Alfie
SSHHHH! Don’t remind her, Mollie! I HAVE boots. I hate them!
Love and licks,
C
Frozen ice cream is much better than frozen feet! 🙂 And I’m sure your mom’s brain will unfreeze – sometimes you just have to stop trying so hard. Tell her to take you for an extra long walk 🙂
Thanks, Susanna! Mom’s knee is too sore to walk around much, lately, but she’s been reading some PiBoIdMo and 12×12 blogs. Her brain is feeling better and thawing out.
Love and licks,
C
Oh, gosh! I somehow missed the sore knee. Sorry to hear that. So my alternate recommendation is a nice long shower or bath (not for you Cupcake :)) which is relaxing and good for getting ideas flowing and hopefully not so hard on the knees!
Whew! Thanks, Susanna! I don’t think ME in the bathtub would help ANYBODY! xo
Love and licks,
C
Oh Cupcake you look so pretty in your pink parka but I can tell from your face that you’re not too crazy about frozen toesies! I wouldn’t be either! Mom’s told me about those frozen treats for doggies – wonder why there aren’t some for kitties too??!! Anyway, enjoy them and concats on winning Rumpy’s contest……YAY!
Kitty Hugs, Sammy
Thanks, Sammy. I think there should be some cat ice cream, too. Maybe they can call it Frosty Whiskers.
Love and licks,
C
Oh Cuppycake send some of that snow my way!!
Enjoy your ice cream! Perhaps if you share it with your mum she’ll get an idea 🙂
Thanks, Misaki! You should ALWAYS have snow. You’re just that kind of girl! I have a love/hate relationship with it. Kind of like the telephone poles around my neighborhood. Sometimes they’re fine, and other times, the jackasses in my brain tell me to bark at them and be afraid to walk past them.
Love and licks,
C
Good luck and luck-Y! You guys got snow! *puts on artificial pouty face* Have fun with your package! 🙂
Thanks, Erik! I like when the snow sticks to my whiskers and face. Then Mom calls me the word ridiculous. That’s a good thing, right?
Love and licks,
C
My Two Orange Pups prefer Frosty Paws to frosty paws, too, Cupcake. The snow by us has all melted – hopefully, it has melted by you, too. And the ideas? Maybe Mom’s ideas are having a party somewhere with the ideas that are hiding from my brain? Hope they show up soon!
Thanks P! Mom’s ideas and your ideas may be somewhere eating icecream together. Ice cream party! Yay!
Love and licks,
C
Congratulations Cupcake! You look beautiful in your pink parka, think you should wear boots too ;o)
Hush, E! My boots are in my box of accessories. I think Mom forgot about them. Do NOT remind her. When I wear them, I walk like a marionette on crack.
Love and licks,
C
You cannot be cold with that nice coat you have. You are the best dressed dog of WordPress.
Thanks, Doggy! I think that would be reason enough to be Freshly Pressed. What are they waiting for??!
Love and licks,
C
congrats Cupcake & love that pink parka!
Thanks, Robin! Pink is my favorite color! xo
Love and licks,
C
Awh dogs love snow! Tell mum to write the first thing that comes into her head x however many days 😉
Thanks, Catherine! Mom has been reading some writing blogs, and I think her brain is melting. That’s a good thing, right??
Love and licks,
C
I’m jealous – a parcel and snow to play in!
Tell your mum not to worry about the ideas – they rarely travel alone, so a whole group will arrive soon.
Thanks, Clowie! Mom sure hopes you’re right. Falling behind is scary. This morning, she is starting to catch up. She feels better when she’s a little ahead. Plus the snow has mostly melted. That might help.
Love and licks,
C
Congrats cupcake, but couldn’t they have sent Hot Tamales instead. Tell Mom to take a walk and stop thinking about her writing and then it will all come fluiding into her brain when she least expects it. 🙂
Thanks, DogDaz! Ideas came into Mom’s brain little by little today. Some came into my brain, too, but they didn’t pan out…..
Love and licks,
C
That parka really complements your fur Cupcake! Awesome prize too. I also won some Frosty Paws from my friend Garth. I still need to go pick up the treats from the store though. Stay warm!
Thanks, Ann! I always look the prettiest in pink! Sometimes, people still think I’m a boy, though!
Love and licks,
C
Oh Cupcake what a lucky girl you are! Snow and Frosty Paws and toys! Life doesn’t get much better than that! Unless the snow is a beach instead.
You know it, Rhythm! Snow scares me at first, but then I get used to it. Now it’s all melted, so when it snows again, I’ll start all over being scared. Vicious cycle! Story of my life.
Love and licks,
C
Tell mom to get on the stick!! When I ask her about stuff, she ALWAYS has ideas :-).
Nice gifts, dogfriend.
Thanks, Gemma! Mom is on the stick. She’s caught up on her ideas, so now her brain is happy all over again.
Love and licks,
C
We must have gotten your weather today. It was near 70 yesterday, and it was flurrying today. Cupcake doesn’t know how to keep Mom’s secrets. 🙂
That’s completely nuts, Patricia! Warm and snow and snow and warm. Freaky!
Love and licks,
C
I’m sure you can help her think of some more ideas, Cupcake. I bet you are her muse!
Muse! Yay! Is that like bacon?? I LOVE bacon!!
Hugs and cuddles,
C
How cool to win those ice creams from Rumpy. I’m sure your mom can come up with some ideas about ice cream and snow. Just don’t eat the yellow snow ice cream.
Bongo!! Yellow snow is naughty! I make it, but I don’t eat it.
Love and licks,
C
YAY!!! You came through the nor’easter okay, the big storm okay, won this contest and got ice cream and also a collie contest. You are on a big winning roll Cupcake! 🙂 We agree with our friend Bongo.. dont eat that yellow snow! LOL
Thanks, Chuck and Collies. Winning is fun. My brain may be tiny, but I am winning big!
Love and licks,
C

You’re welcome CupCake 🙂
OMG! You are so adorable in your pink parka! So fashionable you are! 🙂 Congrats on winning your prizes! What a real treat 🙂
Thanks, Kia! Of course, Simba inspires me!
Love and licks,
C
Since your mom is a writer, and loves dogs, she should read “A Dog’s Life: the Autobiography of a Stray.” I bet she could get some great ideas for books, for kids, on how to treat animals!
BTW – we love your pink coat! Kori has a pink sweater, that she wears at night. She gets cold at bedtime! 🙂 She is now claiming she needs a pink jacket like yours! BOL
Thanks, Kat n Collies! Mom is a little afraid of that book. She looked at it and it seemed like it might be sad. She never reads sad things. She’s weird that way. I tried to tell her it might be the story of the first 3 years of my life!! She doesn’t listen to me.
Love and licks,
C
I love the pink jacket… hope you are both warm.
Thanks, Mirth. We’re warm and toasty and not in the dark anymore. We continue to say prayers for the people who are still struggling.
Love and licks,
C
Awww, Cupcake, you’re picture with the present is so cute, you look so modest. What a great present of your friend Rumpy. I’m sure your mom will defrost soon and the ideas will flow right out her head 🙂
